Atif Aslam to perform in Dubai

Pakistani singer Atif Aslam will perform in Dubai tomorrow at the World Trade Centre alongside the Symphony Orchestra.
While talking to City Times ahead of his gig, Atif said, "I will be singing all my popular numbers but the musical arrangement will be entirely different from what we have done in the past. I have reinvented many of my songs with a different arrangement. It will be more like an orchestral choir. There will be around 16 people on stage as part of the orchestra. UAE understands music very well, be it Bollywood numbers or Coke studio songs. The arrangement is made as such that people will enjoy the music in a sufiyaana way.
"This sort of music always appeals to people so I would love to take this around the world eventually. "
Atif is a huge sensation amongst the Asian diaspora in the UAE. Apart from being a musical genius, he has also worked in Pakistani film Bol gaining critical acclaim. But the Aadat singer doesn't have any plan to do more films. " I did Bol because the director is my friend and also because it was for a social cause. I got more involved in music post that film because at that point of time everyone left music and got involved in acting. So I felt I should be the one to carry music to the next level. But the truth is I know I am good at music and I cannot do too many things at a time."
