COLOMBO: Pakistan has sent modern field medical equipment with a team of doctors and relief materials for the flood-affected people of Sri Lanka, the Pakistan Embassy said in a statement on Sunday.
The country is battling a crisis created by unprecedented landslides which saw at least three villages in the hill-ridden Kegalle district eroded and floods in north-eastern parts of Colombo which have left hundreds stranded.
The statement said the relief assistance included a state-of-the-art 30-bed field hospital which is equipped with operation theatres, X-Ray systems and labs as well as variety of relief items, including medicine, electricity generators, tarpaulins and tents.
